Golf Cart Delivery Across Northeast Ohio

Golf cart delivery from Custom Carts takes the hassle out of getting your new or used cart home. A golf cart is a large, heavy item that does not fit in the back of an SUV, so we make the handoff simple, safe and scheduled around you.

We sell gas, 48V electric and lithium golf carts in two-, four- and six-seat layouts, and each one needs to be moved carefully on a proper trailer. Rather than asking you to figure that out alone, we offer three options:

  • Local delivery across Northeast Ohio
  • Longer-distance delivery, quoted per trip
  • Pickup by appointment if you prefer to haul it yourself

Because every cart and every driveway is different, golf cart delivery is scheduled by phone after purchase. That quick call lets us confirm the address, timing, access and anything special about your location before the cart leaves.

Still choosing a cart? Start in our golf cart shop, then call or text (330) 752-8570 with any questions.

Your Golf Cart Delivery Options

Choose the handoff that fits your schedule and location. We confirm the details with you by phone once your purchase is complete.

Local Delivery

We offer golf cart delivery across Northeast Ohio. We bring the cart to your home, campground or property on a trailer and unload it where you need it, access permitting.

Longer-Distance Delivery

Farther away? Longer-distance golf cart delivery is quoted per trip based on distance, route and timing. Call with your address and we will give you a quote.

Pickup by Appointment

Prefer to haul it yourself? Schedule a pickup appointment and bring a suitable trailer. We help you load up and go over the cart before you leave.

Scheduled by Phone

Carts are large items, so every golf cart delivery and pickup is arranged by phone after purchase. That way we confirm timing, access and any special instructions.

How Golf Cart Delivery Works

From purchase to first ride, the process is simple. Here is what to expect.

01

1. Complete your purchase

Choose your cart, finalize payment or financing with approved credit, and apply any trade-in. Let us know whether you prefer delivery or pickup.

02

2. Schedule by phone

We call to confirm your address, preferred dates, access details and a contact number for the day. Longer-distance trips are quoted at this stage.

03

3. We prepare your cart

Before it leaves, your cart is charged or fueled and checked over, and any included items such as keys and the charger are gathered together.

04

4. Delivery and walkthrough

We unload the cart, you inspect it, and we walk you through the controls, charging or fueling, and paperwork. Then it is ready to ride.

Local Golf Cart Delivery in Northeast Ohio

Local golf cart delivery is available across Northeast Ohio. Whether the cart is headed to your driveway, a lake cottage, a campground site or a farm, we bring it to you on a trailer and unload it safely.

What local delivery includes

  • Transport on a trailer from our location to yours
  • Unloading at your property, where access allows
  • A walkthrough of the cart’s controls and features
  • Time for you to inspect the cart before we leave

Delivery fees

Any delivery charge depends on your location and is confirmed when you schedule. There are no surprises: you will know the cost of your golf cart delivery before the day arrives.

Timing

Delivery dates depend on the schedule at the time of purchase, the season and your availability. Spring and early summer tend to be busiest, so if you need your cart for a specific weekend or event, tell us early and we will do our best to plan around it.

Longer-Distance Golf Cart Delivery

Live outside our local area? Longer-distance golf cart delivery may still be possible. Because every trip is different, we quote these deliveries per trip rather than using a flat rate.

What affects a longer-distance quote

  • Distance and route: total miles and the roads involved.
  • Timing: whether the trip can be combined with other deliveries or needs a dedicated run.
  • Number of carts: buying more than one cart can change the math.
  • Site access: tight roads, gated communities or campground rules can affect planning.

To get a quote, call or text (330) 752-8570 or email info@customcarts.com with the delivery address and the cart you are interested in. We will let you know what is possible and what it will cost before you commit.

Arranging your own transport

If you would rather hire a transporter or send a friend with a trailer, that is fine too. Just schedule the pickup appointment in advance so we have the cart ready.

Picking Up Your Cart by Appointment

Many buyers choose to skip golf cart delivery and pick up their cart themselves. Pickup is by appointment, so call or text (330) 752-8570 to set a time once your purchase is complete. We confirm the pickup location and time with you when you schedule.

Bring the right trailer

  • A trailer rated for the weight of your cart. Ask us for the weight of your specific model if you are unsure.
  • A deck long and wide enough for the cart, especially for six-seat or lifted models.
  • Sturdy ramps or a ramp gate suitable for the cart’s ground clearance.
  • Quality ratchet straps to secure the frame or axles, not the body panels.
  • Working trailer lights and a hitch matched to your tow vehicle.

Secure the load

Set the parking brake, remove the key, and fold down or secure the windshield. Loose items like seat cushions or coolers should be removed or tied down. We are happy to help you load and double-check the straps before you head out.

What Happens on Golf Cart Delivery Day

Golf cart delivery day should be exciting, not stressful. Here is how it typically unfolds so you know what to expect.

Before we arrive

We contact you ahead of time to confirm the timing. Make sure the drop-off spot is clear and someone 18 or older is there to receive the cart, inspect it and sign any paperwork.

Unloading and placement

We unload the cart from the trailer and drive or roll it to the agreed spot, such as a garage, carport or driveway, as long as access is safe. Let us know in advance about steep slopes, soft ground, narrow gates or low garage doors.

The walkthrough

Next, we show you the essentials: starting and stopping, forward and reverse, lights and signals, the parking brake, and charging or fueling. If your cart has extras like a sound bar, backup camera or keyless ignition, we cover those too. Ask as many questions as you like.

Paperwork

We hand over keys, the charger if included, manuals and any manufacturer warranty information that applies to your cart.

Inspecting Your Cart on Arrival

Take a few minutes during your golf cart delivery to look the cart over carefully before we leave. It is the best time to catch anything that needs attention.

Delivery inspection checklist

  • Walk around the cart and check the body, seats, roof and windshield for damage.
  • Confirm the color, options and accessories match what you purchased.
  • Check the tires and wheels.
  • Turn the cart on and test forward, reverse, steering and brakes.
  • Test lights, horn, turn signals and any electronics.
  • Confirm keys, charger, manuals and any included accessories are present.

If something is not right

Point it out right away, while we are there. Note it on the delivery paperwork, take a photo, and we will work with you on the next step. Finding an issue on the spot is much easier to resolve than discovering it days later.

For more on what to look for in a pre-owned cart, see our used golf cart checklist.

What We Need From You to Schedule

When we call to set up your golf cart delivery or pickup, having a few details ready makes the conversation quick. Here is what we will ask for:

  1. The full delivery address, including any unit, lot or campsite number
  2. Two or three dates and time windows that work for you
  3. The name and phone number of the person receiving the cart
  4. Where you want the cart placed, such as a garage, carport or driveway
  5. Access notes: gate codes, steep or soft ground, tight turns, low doors or overhead wires
  6. Whether a trade-in will be picked up at the same time
  7. Any community or campground delivery rules we should follow

For longer-distance golf cart delivery, we also confirm the route and quote before we lock in a date. If anything changes after scheduling, such as the date or address, call or text (330) 752-8570 as soon as you can so we can adjust. Clear communication on both sides is what makes delivery day smooth.

Preparing Your Property for Delivery

A little preparation helps your golf cart delivery go quickly and safely. Run through this list before the day arrives.

  • Clear a path. Move vehicles, bikes and toys so the trailer can park close and the cart can roll straight to its spot.
  • Measure your storage space. Check garage door height and width, especially for lifted carts or models with extended roofs.
  • Plan your charging spot. Electric and lithium carts need access to a suitable outlet. Confirm the charging requirements for your model with us before delivery.
  • Check community rules. Campgrounds, HOAs and gated communities may have delivery hours or access rules.
  • Share special instructions. Gate codes, parking notes or the best entrance all help the driver.

If you are unsure whether a trailer can reach your drop-off spot, tell us when you schedule. We will talk through options such as unloading in the driveway.

After Delivery: Charging, Fueling and First Rides

Once your golf cart delivery is complete, a few simple habits get you off to a good start.

Electric and lithium carts

Plug in using the charger supplied with your cart and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Lithium carts generally need less day-to-day maintenance than lead-acid carts, while 48V lead-acid batteries need regular charging and water checks. Our guide to lithium golf cart batteries explains the differences.

Gas carts

Use the fuel type recommended by the manufacturer and check the oil level regularly. Your owner’s manual lists the service intervals.

If you bought a street-legal or LSV model, titling, registration and insurance are your responsibility before driving on public roads. The Ohio BMV has current requirements, and our post on street-legal golf carts in Ohio covers the basics.

For ongoing care, read our golf cart maintenance guide.

Buying Remotely Before Golf Cart Delivery

Not everyone can visit before they buy, and that is fine. Many customers choose a cart from our online listings, ask questions by phone or text, and arrange golf cart delivery without ever making a trip.

Ask for more photos and video

If you want a closer look, ask. We can send extra photos of the seats, dash, tires, batteries or engine, and in many cases a short video of the cart running. It is the next best thing to seeing it in person.

Confirm the details in writing

Before you schedule golf cart delivery, confirm the year, brand, model, color, power type, seating and included accessories. For new carts, ask about the manufacturer’s warranty terms. For used carts, ask what coverage, if any, applies, because it varies.

Plan payment and paperwork

Financing is available with approved credit through our third-party lending partners, and much of the process can be handled by phone and online. Learn more on our financing page.

Delivering to Campgrounds, Lakes and Communities

Golf carts are popular well beyond the golf course, and golf cart delivery often means bringing a cart to a campground, lake property, farm or planned community. Each location has its own considerations.

  • Campgrounds: check whether the park has delivery hours, a check-in office or rules about trailers on site roads.
  • Lake and vacation homes: let us know about steep driveways, gravel or narrow lanes, and whether someone will be there to receive the cart.
  • Farms and rural properties: share the best entrance and whether the ground is firm enough for a loaded trailer.
  • HOAs and gated communities: provide gate codes or visitor instructions ahead of time.

The more we know before golf cart delivery day, the smoother the handoff. If the cart is going to a second property while you are elsewhere, tell us who will receive it and inspect it on your behalf.

Trade-Ins on Delivery Day

Trading in your current cart? Trade-ins are welcome, and in many cases the swap can be coordinated with your golf cart delivery. We discuss this when we schedule, since it depends on trailer space, timing and location.

Before the day, have your trade-in cleaned out, charged or fueled, and ready with its keys and charger. We confirm the cart matches the photos and details you sent, then load it up after your new cart is unloaded and inspected.

Want a trade-in figure first? Send photos, year, brand, model and battery age to info@customcarts.com or text (330) 752-8570. Learn more on our trade-in page.
